Description

The Frontline Practitioner Learning Path is a comprehensive training bundle designed for professionals who support children and youth receiving intensive mental health treatment. It provides the foundational knowledge, practical skills, and role-specific guidance needed to deliver safe, consistent, trauma-informed, and youth-centred care.

The learning path is organized into five components covering OITP foundations, core clinical practice, safety and crisis response, specialized practice, and equity and inclusion. Learners complete all required courses and select optional courses based on their role, workplace, and the needs of the children, youth, and families they support.

Through practical examples, applied activities, and knowledge assessments, learners will strengthen their ability to recognize and respond to mental health needs, contribute to collaborative treatment planning, support emotional and behavioural regulation, respond to safety concerns, document care appropriately, and provide inclusive services.

Upon successful completion of the required courses and selected electives, learners receive a Frontline Practitioner Learning Path certificate.
