Learners will examine how to incorporate the young person’s goals, family perspectives, clinical recommendations, cultural considerations, strengths, risks, and support needs into daily practice.

This course builds awareness of suicide and self-harm among children and youth. Learners will examine common warning signs, risk and protective factors, appropriate communication, immediate response procedures, documentation requirements, and when to involve clinical or emergency supports.
